Why inspect appliances at work
The operator is responsible for the safe condition of electrical equipment in use. Appliance and tool inspections reduce the risk of injury and fire in offices, schools, workshops and municipal buildings.
The technical framework is mainly ČSN 33 1600 ed. 2 for tools and related requirements for appliance checks. Intervals depend on the environment and how intensively the equipment is used.
What we usually include
- electrical appliances in offices and staff areas
- equipment in schools, kindergartens and canteens
- handheld electrical tools in workshops and maintenance
- extension leads and splitters
- an inventory for later planned checks
Appliances can be combined with an installation inspection or machine inspection. Send the scope in an enquiry.
Frequently asked questions
Which appliances need inspecting?
Typically office equipment, kitchen and cleaning appliances, extension leads, chargers and electrical tools used in workshops, schools and operations.
Do we need a list in advance?
It helps, but it is not required. We can compile the list on site and reuse it for later inspections.
How soon do we get the results?
After the measurements we hand over a list of passing and failing items and the inspection documents.
Is a tool inspection different from an office appliance inspection?
Yes. Handheld tools usually have shorter intervals and stricter requirements on the supply lead, enclosure and insulation.
